Job summary

American Cancer Society is seeking an IT Buyer II to source and procure IT products and services, ensuring contracts meet business and InfoSec requirements. The role supports source-to-pay processes and engages with stakeholders across projects.

The position is fully remote within the United States and requires prior procurement experience in IT. The starting rate is $68,000 to $72,000 annually; final offer based on experience and geographic location.

Qualifications

• A college degree or Professional certification strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years' relevant IT procurement experience.
• Skilled in competitive bidding, contract negotiation, and electronic purchasing tools.
• Knowledge of technology industry terminology and practices.

Responsibilities

• Identify, compete and evaluate suppliers to meet operational needs with quality and value.
• Prepare bid requests, analyze bids and procurement data to save costs and improve service.
• Enter contracts and create purchase orders coordinating goods/services delivery.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to resolve supply chain issues.
• Provide excellent service and communication to stakeholders on procurement projects.
• Promote open communication and teamwork to align with business objectives.
• Provide product, spend and supplier data to sourcing managers as needed.
