Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Internal Audit IT Associate Manager to lead IT and security audits across our global cloud infrastructure, security operations, and crypto-native products. Youll own audits end-to-end, mentor junior team members, and translate complex findings for senior leadership.

Youll mentor staff, plan fieldwork, and partner with Engineering, Security, and IT leadership to identify control improvements while maintaining independence.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IT internal audit or security audit experience, including staff management.
• Hands-on audits of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) with IAM and security configurations.
• Familiar with NIST CSF, COBIT, SOC 2, ITIL; professional certifications preferred.
• Ability to lead multiple audits across time zones and present to leadership.
• Familiar with crypto/blockchain audit environments and controls.
• Uses generative AI with human oversight to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end IT and security audits of cloud infra, apps, IAM, and crypto products.
• Lead audit planning, fieldwork, reporting, and presentations for leadership and Audit Committee.
• Mentor junior staff; review workpapers and provide guidance on technical issues.
• Drive ongoing monitoring of remediations and manage timelines and risks.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and IT leadership to improve controls.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting Coinbase.
