Job summary

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to lead the ATO process for DIU projects, within the Autonomy Portfolio.

The role emphasizes RMF implementation, continuous monitoring, and strengthening security across commercial systems for DoD warfighter use. The ISSM should innovate beyond legacy approaches, enjoy remote work, and be capable of navigating DoD security requirements while coordinating with AO and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of information security or technology experience.
• Proficient working knowledge of RMF.
• Current IAM Level II credentials required; ability to obtain IAM Level III.
• Ability to effectively work remotely.
• Innovative mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assemble the security authorization package and submit to the AO, including security plan, SAR, POA&M, and related documents.
• Support implementation of the RMF across DIU projects.
• Maintain awareness of internal AO processes to facilitate reciprocity of the IS across the department.
• Document requirements in the AO Determination Brief and continuous monitoring strategy.
• Conduct initial remedial actions and reassess residual risk.
• Update AO Determination Brief, SAR, and POA&M based on continuous monitoring results.
• Report security status to the AO and officials on an ongoing basis per monitoring strategy.
• Perform continuous monitoring and maintenance of ATOs.
• Travel to DIU or customer facilities as needed.
