Job summary

StateServ is seeking an IPU Technician for an overnight, remote role that can be performed from Pennsylvania or Tennessee. Primary duties include accurate prescription data entry, using Docuware and Microsoft Office, and coordinating with hospices on medication orders.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of pharmacy data entry experience, a high school diploma, and PA/TN licensure or eligibility. No travel required, strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy Technicians residing in Pennsylvania must be registered with PA Board of Pharmacy or obtain registration prior to internal deadline.
• Pharmacy Technicians residing in Tennessee must be registered with TN Board of Pharmacy.
• One year of pharmacy technician data entry experience (2 years preferred).
• Familiarity with drug formularies.
• CPhT or EXCPT is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately perform prescription data entry following policies and regulatory requirements.
• Use pharmacy systems and Microsoft applications to support prescription management and communication.
• Review and process faxed medication orders and document interactions.
• Maintain knowledge of drug names, formulary guidelines, and IPU standards for MARs and profiles.
• Meet IPU goals while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Provide ADS troubleshooting and after-hours support, including E3 support and urgent processing.
• Maintain detailed call logs for all interactions.
• Assist local pharmacies with adjudication of emergent medication claims and escalate urgent requests.
• Support ADS-related reporting, tracking, and trend analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve prescription-related issues and improve IPU processes.
