Job summary

Francis King is retained by a long-established, privately owned developer of ground-up self-storage to appoint a Director of Business Development. This newly created role focuses on raising capital from accredited investors and building a regional sales operation.

You will present at webinars and investor events alongside the President, own your pipeline, and collaborate with an established marketing team with travel budget. The firm supports remote work with initial training at head office.

Qualifications

• Proven record raising funds from accredited individuals for a real estate sponsor.
• Strong presentation skills for development funds in front of groups.
• Relationship-driven, investor-first mindset with a robust self-built network.

Responsibilities

• Bring in new accredited investors, typically $200k–$500k from your network.
• Present at webinars, conferences and investor events alongside the President.
• Own your pipeline with support from marketing and travel budget.
• Report to the President and be coached on closing.
• Build and eventually lead a regional sales team as the firm grows.
