Director of Capital Raising - Real Estate
Remote | United States
Bullpen is partnering with a growing private real estate investment firm to hire a Director of Capital Raising focused on sourcing investor relationships and closing equity commitments.
The firm invests in residential real estate and has an active acquisition pipeline. Working directly with leadership, you will raise capital from high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth investors for pooled investment vehicles and individual transactions.
This is a senior individual contributor role with remote flexibility, meaningful performance-based upside, and the opportunity to help build a scalable capital-raising operation. The primary focus is new investor origination and fundraising production.
What You'll Do
- Source and close investor capital for real estate funds and individual investment opportunities.
- Develop and expand relationships with HNW and UHNW investors through your network, referrals, and targeted outreach.
- Own the fundraising process from initial introduction and investment presentations through diligence, commitment, and funding.
- Build and manage an investor pipeline, tracking activity, anticipated commitments, and funded capital.
- Clearly communicate investment strategies, deal structures, business plans, return potential, and risks.
- Partner with leadership on investor meetings, presentations, and closing conversations.
- Develop family office and private-wealth relationships where appropriate.
- Coordinate with investor operations to support subscriptions, onboarding, and timely funding.
- Strengthen fundraising processes and reporting as the platform grows.
What We're Looking For
- A demonstrated track record of personally originating investor relationships and closing private investment capital.
- Established relationships within the HNW and UHNW investor community.
- Experience raising equity for real estate or alternative investments; residential or multifamily experience is preferred.
- Ability to clearly explain capital raised, investor types, typical investment sizes, and your personal contribution to fundraising results.
- Experience managing investor relationships from initial outreach through funded commitments.
- Strong understanding of private investment structures and real estate economics.
- An entrepreneurial approach and comfort operating independently with direct accountability for production.
- Interest in a compensation structure with meaningful performance-based upside.
Experience with pooled funds, deal-by-deal syndications, family offices, or private-wealth distribution is valuable. Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience is preferred, with flexibility for candidates who demonstrate strong fundraising results.
Why Join
- An established investment team with an active acquisition pipeline.
- Multiple investment offerings to support different investor preferences.
- Direct access to leadership and influence over fundraising strategy and execution.
- Remote flexibility and the opportunity to help shape a growing capital-raising function.
