Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking an Investment Accounting Manager for a remote, consulting engagement. The role supports the OPR clean workstream, driving program governance and remediation milestones while guiding the existing EXL team to improved execution and accountability.

The position requires leadership of complex remediation or transformation efforts within investment accounting, strong governance, and executive communication.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading remediation, transformation, or stabilization programs in investment accounting or financial operations.
• Demonstrated people leadership, including oversight of vendor or managed-service teams and performance turnaround initiatives.
• Strong project and program management skills with structured governance and reporting processes.
• Ability to identify root causes and implement practical process and control improvements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including executive-level reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the OPR clean workstream as program manager with clear objectives, timelines, and success metrics.
• Assess current-state processes, controls, and deliverables to identify failure points and remediation priorities.
• Direct and coach the EXL team to improve execution quality, throughput, and accountability.
• Establish governance routines, status reporting, RAID management, and stakeholder communications.
• Design and implement process improvements, control enhancements, and documentation standards.
• Coordinate cross-functional dependencies across accounting, operations, technology, and reporting teams.
• Track and report progress against milestones, escalating risks and issues with mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting policies and control frameworks.
