Job summary

LanguageLine Solutions is seeking an Inuktitut-English Phone Interpreter to work from home as an independent contractor. You will facilitate on-demand calls, ensuring clear communication between Inuktitut and English speakers in various sectors including healthcare and law enforcement.

This role requires fluency in both languages, strong listening skills, and the ability to maintain professionalism in sensitive situations. The compensation ranges from $1.25 to $1.40 per minute, with no employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to handle sensitive subjects and remain neutral during interpretations.
• Must adapt to LLS technology enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to interpreting sessions and conduct interpretation.
• Maintain professionalism during emotionally charged calls.
• Ensure availability during work hours.

Skills
