Job summary

ACCEL Schools seeks an Intervention Specialist for its online Ohio program. The role supports students with IEP goals in a virtual setting, with travel for state testing and events a few times per year.

You will work with teachers to implement instructional modifications, conduct diagnostic and behavioral assessments, and coordinate IEP meetings while maintaining strong family communication and collaboration across the school community.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio Intervention Specialist License.
• Experience with inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room model.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook).
• Pass FBI/BCI background checks and maintain integrity in a school setting.
• Experience in a multi-cultural environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teachers to tailor intervention strategies for students with IEPs.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Perform functional behavior assessments and write behavior plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and set measurable goals.
• Support student achievement and school culture through data-driven planning.
• Communicate with families about student progress and needs.
