Job summary

Presto, the leading Voice AI company, is seeking an Internal Automation Intern to join the Automation team and help move a large backlog into live automations.

You will write code in Claude Code, use Python and JSON configuration, validate outputs, and build reusable workflows that replace manual tasks. This internship emphasizes accuracy, rapid iteration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The role is remote with the option to work hybrid from San Mateo, CA; U.S. pay range applies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed degree in computer science, engineering, data, or related field.
• Familiar with Claude Code, Python, APIs, and JSON for configuration and data.
• Experience reading/writing scripts; comfort with CSVs and spreadsheets.
• Ability to work independently and communicate clearly in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Take automation work from backlog and move it to shipped.
• Build scripts and reusable workflows in Claude Code; run and debug code.
• Wire together internal data sources and systems via APIs and scripts.
• Write clear instructions so automations can be adopted by the team.
