Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. is seeking an Internal Auditor for a remote position with approximately 15% international travel.

The role involves executing risk-based audits across operations, finance and compliance, and applying AI and data analytics to identify trends and control improvements. You will report to the Internal Audit Senior Manager and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality reports and actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CIA, CPA, CMA or CISA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks and auditing standards.
• Hands-on data analytics experience or interest in AI in audit.

Responsibilities

• Execute internal audit engagements across operational, financial and strategic areas including planning, fieldwork and reporting.
• Participate in External Audit Direct Assist work including testing and inventory counts.
• Travel (15%) to production and distribution sites as needed based on engagement requirements.
• Apply risk assessment, accounting, finance, IT and operations knowledge to identify control gaps and process improvements.
• Analyze data using AI and analytics to identify trends and enhance audit activities.
• Produce high-quality audit reports and present findings to senior management with root cause analysis and practical recommendations.
• Monitor action plans and provide guidance to ensure timely resolution.
• Build strong relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders.
