Job summary

CampusWorks is seeking experienced higher education finance professionals to serve as Interim Controllers / Finance Consultants on a project basis. This remote, flexible consulting role provides temporary, expert financial leadership to colleges and universities.

Engagements run 10–30 hours/week for a few weeks to several months. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in higher education finance, a Bachelor's degree (CPA or MBA preferred), and hands-on ERP experience with Banner, Colleague, Workday, or

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in higher education finance, accounting, or business office leadership.
• Hands-on experience with higher ed ERP systems (Banner, Colleague, Workday, or Jenzabar).
• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Interim CFO or Finance Director, providing day-to-day leadership of the finance department staff.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, and financial analysis while managing daily operations.
• Advise on policy development and procedures for financial operations and reporting.
