Job summary

GovCIO is seeking an Integration Analyst/Engineer to support the VA VIPPS program. This remote role will work with Data Integration Lead, API developers, and SMEs to design and implement system integrations and data migration activities, including data profiling, cleansing, transformation, validation and testing.

The right candidate will analyze source/target systems, develop mappings, and assist with API/interface development using REST, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, SQL, and related technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in systems integration, data migration or API development/analysis.
• Strong data and systems analysis skills.
• Ability to map source-to-target data and transformations.
• Experience with REST APIs, JSON/XML, and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Experience with SQL and data-quality controls.
• Familiarity with federal/VA enterprise systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support VIPPS integration, testing, deployment and sustainment.
• Collaborate with Data Integration Lead and API developers to design enterprise integrations.
• Perform data migration activities: profiling, mapping, cleansing, transforming, validating.
• Develop source-to-target data mappings and validate data exchanges.
• Assist API/interface development using REST, JSON/XML, OpenAPI/Swagger, SQL.
• Design and execute API/integration test cases and reusable tests.
• Troubleshoot data-quality and interface issues with engineering teams.
• Document integration processes, mappings, test results and specs.
• Improve integration processes and tools for reliability and efficiency.
• Ensure activities meet security, compliance and clearance requirements.
