Job summary

Float Health is seeking an Intake Specialist to manage new patient referrals and coordinate start-of-care visits. You’ll serve as the liaison between specialty pharmacies, nurses, and patients—leveraging Zendesk, Google Suite, and Slack to ensure smooth coordination, timely staffing, and successful care delivery.

The role emphasizes strong organizational skills, fast, clear communication, and a proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with medical scheduling.
• Ability to utilize multiple technology platforms simultaneously.
• Ability to manage inbound communication while supporting other tasks.
• Ability to type 60 words per minute with high accuracy.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, including the ability to digest and explain complex information clearly to all users.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate start-of-care visits using the Float Health platform and supporting tech (Zendesk, Google Suite, Slack).
• Match nurses to patients and onboard patients to Float Health.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with pharmacies, nurses, and patients via email, phone, chat, and SMS.
• Handle inbound and initiate outbound communications across channels.
• Collaborate with internal teams in shared queues to ensure visit documentation completes.
• Prioritize multiple tasks and learn new processes and technology continuously.
• Maintain positive relationships with pharmacies and complete pharmacy-related tasks.
• Provide feedback to improve technology and processes.
