Job summary

Houston Methodist is seeking a Senior Insurance Verifier to obtain and record patient eligibility and benefits, initiate authorizations, and support timely financial clearance. This role will be part of the infusion/oncology team and involves interaction with patients, physicians, and staff.

Experience with EPIC and Medicare/Medicaid, strong communication, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment are essential. Training will precede remote work within the greater Houston area.

Qualifications

• Three years of health insurance verification experience, preferably in hospital or clinic settings.
• Proficient with EPIC and medical billing terminology.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record patient eligibility and benefits for services in a timely manner.
• Initiate admission notification and authorization processes to ensure financial clearance.
• Communicate with patients, physicians, and staff to resolve access and service issues.
• Collaborate with infusion/oncology teams to support patient care and workflow.
