Job summary

CCS Medical, Inc. is seeking a Verification Representative to join our patient-centered call center.

You will qualify patients’ insurance coverage and confirm accuracy of orders prior to shipment, verifying government and commercial plans and patient accounts. This role requires 1 year of medical insurance verification and 1 year of customer service experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• 1 year of medical insurance verification experience or equivalent.
• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Strong working knowledge of billing procedures, insurance reimbursement procedures and HCPCS codes.
• Ability to analyze and correct accounts receivable problems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and general computer literacy.
• Knowledge of government and commercial insurance payers as it relates to documentation of claims before submission.
• Ability to understand Medical Records documents.
• Position may require evening and weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Makes outbound calls to insurance companies to verify insurance benefits.
• Evaluates insurance coverage to determine policy compatibility with our program and recommends products based on patient needs and coverage.
• Efficiently and accurately verifies, reviews, documents and completes insurance verifications.
• Identifies and initiates documentation needs and requests to permit timely billing of services and communication with appropriate teams.
• Reviews patient accounts and determines actions needed to collect payment.
• Reviews claims and performs claim corrections and submissions to new carrier based on new plan verification.
• Has knowledge of billing procedures, insurance reimbursement procedures and HCPC codes.
• Ability to analyze and correct accounts receivable problems.
• Maintains a high degree of confidentiality due to access to sensitive information.
• Maintains regular, predictable attendance and flexibility to meet department needs.
• Follows Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and Private Insurance regulations.
