Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in insurance verification and referrals with patient interaction.
• Experience with EPIC and insurance portals.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance coverage and benefits for new and established patients using real-time eligibility (RTE), portals, or phone.
• Communicate eligibility issues and financial responsibilities to patients.
• Enter patient financial responsibility details into the system for the Patient Access Team.
• Initiate and obtain insurance referrals for services and coordinate with providers.
• Maintain records of all referral requests, approvals, and denials for audit/compliance purposes.
• Respond to inquiries from Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, and clinical teams.
