Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance coverage.
• Submit claims to private and government payers.
• Follow up on pending claims and resolve denials.
• Query information on remote Medicare software.
• Learn new systems and processes to improve workflow.
• Contact insurers or patients to gather needed information for appeals.
• Maintain HIPAA and other regulatory compliance.
• Adapt to feedback aimed at performance improvement.
• Enter/update benefit information accurately into databases.
• Meet department production standards.
