Job summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking an Insurance Specialist-PRN to join our team. This temporary/PRN role focuses on insurance pre-certification and authorization, contacting insurers and patients to verify coverage and ensure timely exam scheduling. The position supports referring physicians and patients under HIPAA guidelines.

The role is remote with variable shifts; compensation ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour based on experience. Benefits include DailyPay and access to company resources.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience with pre-certification/authorization of benefits.
• Experience with managed care and physician office scheduling preferred.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
• Proficient with using computer systems and typing.

Responsibilities

• Perform insurance pre-certification and authorization by contacting insurance companies and patients.
• Verify insurance information and determine provider network participation.
• Enter data accurately into the computer system and maintain HIPAA-compliant communications.
• Maintain positive relationships with referring physicians and patients.
• Back up front desk reception and scheduling as needed.
