Job summary

Rayus Radiology is seeking an Insurance Denials Specialist II to investigate denied or unpaid claims and expedite billing and collections. This full-time role works Mon-Fri, 8:00am-4:30pm, and is 100% remote.

You will communicate with patients, insurers, and internal teams to resolve denials and improve revenue cycle performance, requiring 2 years in medical billing or related experience and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years in medical billing or payer claim processing; or 9+ months in Insurance Denials Specialist within the org.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word/Outlook).
• Proficient typing and computer system usage.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and determine reasons for denied or unpaid claims.
• Expedite medical billing and collections in accounts receivable.
• Communicate with patients, insurers, and internal teams.
• Document all communications in the billing system.
• Contribute to reducing days-sales-outstanding (DSO) and increase collections.
