RAYUS Radiology is seeking an Insurance Denials Specialist I to join our team. The role focuses on investigating denied or unpaid claims and expediting billing and collections.

This full-time position is 100% remote, with hours Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, and offers a pay range of $20.70 - $29.93 per hour based on experience. Required: High School diploma and 1+ year in medical billing or related field; proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook; strong typing skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• Ability to type accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• 1+ year of medical billing/claims processing or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and determine reasons for denied or unpaid claims.
• Expedite billing/collections by obtaining required documentation for resubmission.
• Communicate with patients, insurance carriers, and colleagues to resolve denials.
• Document all communications in the billing system and track workflow.
• Support reduction of days-sales-outstanding and improve collections performance.
• Follow daily tasks and QA standards; assist team as needed.
