Farmers, based in Houston, seeks a trial attorney to support its staff counsel team. The role combines remote work with in-person appearances in the Houston metro area, handling insurance defense matters from intake through resolution.

The candidate will manage cases, prepare pleadings, and appear at hearings while collaborating with Claims and senior attorneys. A law license and three years of practice are preferred; a bachelor’s degree is expected as well.

Qualifications

• Public speaking with ability to manage high caseloads.
• Strong verbal and written communication; effective negotiation.
• Driving required for field appearances.

Responsibilities

• Litigates low to moderate complexity cases from intake to trial.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.
• Attend hearings, conferences, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Coordinate with Claims Department on legal issues.
• Support senior attorneys on high complexity matters.
