Job summary

Farmers is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to represent clients in all areas of insurance defense. The role handles high-complexity matters with potential first/second chair responsibilities, spanning multiple jurisdictions, and requires strong advocacy, strategy, and client service.

You will manage cases from intake to resolution, lead at hearings, and mentor junior attorneys while collaborating with Claims executives to shape legal strategy and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; licensed to practice law in applicable states required on hire.
• Experience handling high-complexity and high-exposure matters, including first chair jury trial or equivalent.
• Multistate jurisdictional practice strongly preferred.
• Expansive knowledge of procedural and substantive law; strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Litigates high-complexity cases to resolution through trial or settlement.
• Leads hearings, conferences, interviews, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Develops trial strategies and analyzes probable outcomes.
• Mentors other attorneys and shares industry trends.
• Provides legal strategy guidance to Claims Executive team.
