Job summary

Bosun, a well established minority owned insurance defense litigation firm, seeks a highly organized paralegal to join our team in a remote-first setting with a New Jersey division. This mentorship focused role offers a supportive culture and clear paths to advancement in a fast paced practice.

You will draft, file, and manage pleadings and discovery, coordinate depositions, and maintain case files while ensuring NJ state and federal deadlines are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in legal studies and/or paralegal certificate required.
• Minimum 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Strong knowledge of New Jersey State court rules and e-filing.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and motions.
• Assist with preparation for depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Gather, review, and summarize medical records, accident reports, and other case related documents.
• Maintain and organize case files, discovery databases, and document productions.
• Manage attorney calendars, schedule depositions, and coordinate with clients, witnesses, and experts.
• Conduct legal and factual research as needed.
• Monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with filing requirements in New Jersey State and Federal courts.
• Provide general administrative support to attorneys.
