Jobot is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney in New York, offering a remote work arrangement. You will handle auto liability, no-fault and general liability matters, from filing through trial, while collaborating with a strong support team.

A JD and NY Bar admission are required, with 1–5 years of applicable experience. The firm emphasizes mentorship, a collaborative culture, competitive compensation, and a path to partnership, with an established and growing client base across NY

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
• 1–5 years in general liability or insurance defense.

Responsibilities

• Handle a caseload of auto liability, no-fault and general liability cases from inception through trial.
• Prepare pleadings, motions and briefs as required.
• Conduct discovery, including depositions and responses.
• Communicate with clients, claim professionals and senior staff.
• Perform legal research and draft briefs and pleadings as needed.
• Represent the company at regulatory and other proceedings.
• Manage case files and develop strategy for timely resolution.
• Negotiate settlements for the company and policyholders.
