Job summary

Ave Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Paralegal to join a fully remote New Jersey-focused litigation group. The role centers on managing civil litigation files, medical record analysis, and coordinating discovery in a remote setup.

Candidates should have 3+ years of paralegal experience in civil litigation or insurance defense, solid knowledge of NJ procedures, and familiarity with eCourts, CM/ECF, and billing software. Remote work with NYC/Philadelphia area consideration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense paralegal experience.
• Strong knowledge of NJ Rules of Court and civil discovery procedures.
• Experience indexing medical records and drafting summaries.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation files from case reporting through trial preparation.
• Order, index, analyze, and draft medical records and expert reports.
• Draft discovery requests and responses; handle subpoenas under attorney direction.
• File electronically in New Jersey State Courts and federal CM/ECF.
• Maintain daily time entries to meet billable hour requirements.
