• JD with active New Mexico State Bar license in good standing.
• 3–9 years of civil litigation experience; insurance defense experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working remotely and managing deadlines.
• No book of business required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Support a senior attorney on a docket of insurance defense matters from intake through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and other written work.
• Take and defend depositions, and attend hearings and mediations.
• Evaluate cases and prepare reports for insurance carriers and clients.
• Help with trial preparation and case strategy.
• Meet an annual target of 1,800 billable hours.
