Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active state bar license required.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience with a focus on insurance defense.
• Experience handling trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Experience working with carrier clients and adhering to carrier litigation guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal advocacy skills.
• Proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of insurance defense matters from intake through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other documents.
• Take and defend depositions, including expert and key witnesses.
• Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Communicate with carrier clients regarding case strategy, status, budgets and developments.
• Coordinate and manage expert witnesses and monitor budgets.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
