Job summary

The National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies - Insurance Company (NAMICO) seeks a Litigation Examiner in our claims department for a remote role. You will manage Directors & Officers, Fiduciary Liability, E&O and EPLI claims, conduct initial review, reserve setting, and coordinate defense counsel.

Qualifications include 3–5 years in personal or commercial insurance claims, litigation management experience, ability to travel out of state and to Canada, and a JD preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in personal lines or commercial insurance claims.
• Experience in litigation management and professional liability claims.
• Willingness to travel out of state regularly and to Canada.
• Juris Doctor preferred; state licensing where required.

Responsibilities

• Review claims for coverage under NAMIC programs.
• Issue reservation of rights and coverage disclaimer letters.
• Retain and manage defense counsel and outside investigators.
• Maintain claim reserves and conduct ongoing file reviews.
• Prepare loss prevention articles and present seminars as needed.
• Collaborate with underwriters on risk selection and policy revisions.
• Build positive relationships with management, staff, and external contacts.
