You will verify active coverage, estimate patient responsibilities, and secure timely authorizations while adhering to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience with insurance authorizations and/or medical authorizations.
• Comprehensive understanding of insurance authorization requirements and CPT codes.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; fast learner.
• Positive demeanor with professional communication in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for procedures and visits.
• Determine deductible, coinsurance, and copayment amounts; notify patients when applicable.
• Obtain and maintain authorizations in a timely manner; reduce denials.
• Review visit data to support medical necessity with payer criteria.
• Ensure services fall within benefit plans and contracted providers.
• Maintain accuracy and productivity targets (>95%).
