Job summary

The Learning Network is seeking experienced Instructional Designers and Learning Strategists to join an open call for independent contractors. You will partner with clients, subject matter experts, and project teams to analyze learning needs, design learning strategies, and create curricula across digital, blended, and instructor-led environments.

This is an independent contractor opportunity; compensation typically ranges from $35-$45 CAD/USD per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience performing training needs analysis and performance consulting.
• Experience creating instructor-led and virtual instructor-led training materials.
• Strong client-facing consulting and facilitation skills.
• Ability to lead discovery sessions and workshops.
• Experience designing multi-modal learning programs and end-to-end curricula.

Responsibilities

• Lead learning needs analysis and performance consulting efforts.
• Design learning strategies, curricula, journeys, and roadmaps.
• Develop digital, blended, instructor-led, and virtual instructor-led learning solutions.
• Create instructional assets: objectives, assessments, storyboards, facilitator guides, participant materials.
• Provide client-facing discovery and define scope and success measures.
• Apply adult learning principles, learning science, accessibility standards, and learner experience best practices.
• Provide recommendations regarding learning modalities, curriculum structure, measurement approaches, and implementation strategies.
• Review and refine learning content for effectiveness, usability, accessibility, and alignment.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to clients and teams.
• Support continuous improvement of learning standards, processes, templates, and design methodologies.
