Job summary

International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a seasoned Instructional Designer to deliver high-quality training materials and resources for Switchboard’s programs. The role includes producing webinars and virtual trainings, guiding instructional design strategy, and updating learning resources to ensure evidence-based practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in instructional design, education, or other relevant field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum four years of experience developing and implementing training, technical assistance, capacity-building, or education programs.
• Experience developing and producing innovative virtual multimedia trainings (webinars, online courses, self-paced e-learning).
• Experience contributing to project M&E (data collection, management, reporting).
• Familiarity with data-driven, evidence-based programming.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to build staff capacity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instructional design across trainings and learning resources; provide guidance and review of instructional design across materials.
• Serve as webinar and meeting producer.
• Research and recommend innovative training and instructional design practices.
• Lead implementation of strategy for updating learning resources.
• Champion a culture of learning and continuous improvement in instructional design.
