About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experiencedInpatient Medical Coderto join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and assigning ICD-10-CM/PCS codes to inpatient medical records to ensure accurate billing and compliance with federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review inpatient medical records and assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with official coding guidelines and payer requirements.
• Collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve documentation discrepancies.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards as defined by the department.
• Stay current with coding updates, regulations, and best practices.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be certified in either: CCA, CCS, CPC, CPC-A, RHIA or RHIT
• 5+ Years of inpatient medical coding experience
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and DRG assignment.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and coding software.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
