Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a compliant, detail-oriented professional to implement and maintain compliance programs within the Patient Revenue Management Organization, focusing on coding, billing, and auditing processes for Duke Health. Remote opportunity with the states listed in the posting.

Requires Bachelor's degree, 4 years of administrative experience in revenue cycle, RHIA/RHIT/CCS; CPC/CCS/RHIT/RHIA/CPMA certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Four years of administrative experience in insurance billing, coding, and revenue cycle functions.
• RHIA or RHIT or CCS required. CPC or CCS or RHIT or RHIA or CPMA is required.
• Two of four years of experience with DRGs and APR-DRGs for technical coding is required.

Responsibilities

• Educate providers and staff on government regulations and coding/billing guidelines.
• Perform routine internal audits of provider documentation and ensure compliance with university and state/federal policies.
• Collaborate with physicians and internal staff to improve documentation, coding, and compliance.
• Identify risk areas and implement corrective actions as part of a broader compliance program.
