Job summary

Parallon, a service line of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a work from home Inpatient Coding Auditor to perform internal quality assessments of coders across the HSC. You will review outcomes and communicate improvements to the team to enhance accuracy, integrity and data quality in patient records.

You will lead coding quality reviews, ensure adherence to national guidelines, and drive accuracy while maintaining productivity.

Qualifications

• Inpatient and outpatient acute care coding experience.
• Coding auditing and monitoring experience preferred.
• RHIA, RHIT or CCS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads, coordinates and performs quality reviews for inpatient and/or outpatient coding across multiple HSCs.
• Ensures adherence to coding guidelines and policy among staff.
• Demonstrates expert level knowledge of medical coding practices.
• Participates in special reviews or projects.
• Maintains productivity standards and accuracy above 95%.
• Ensures data quality standards and clinical documentation support appropriate code assignments.
