Job summary

Ovation Healthcare seeks a remote Inpatient Coder with at least three years of experience. The coder will review hospital records and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient settings to ensure proper reimbursement and compliant coding.

Candidates must have AHIMA or AAPC credentials, plus proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Teams. A 95% QA accuracy rate and ability to meet production targets are required. This 100% remote role is part of Ovation's comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of inpatient coding experience.
• Experience coding for trauma centers and teaching facilities is preferred.
• MH IMA/AAPC credentials required or eligible.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Review hospital records and assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes for inpatient settings.
• Ensure accurate coding for reimbursement, data reporting and compliance.
• Submit provider queries to resolve documentation discrepancies and verify records.
