Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

The contract is 6 months with potential for extension and ASAP start. Coders will work 100% remotely (PST hours) and must have credentials such as CCS, RHIT, or RHIA and experience with Epic EHR and 3M

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years inpatient coding experience.
• Inpatient coding across multiple specialties in high-acuity settings.
• Experience with Epic EHR and 3M encoder preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including: Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU, and other complex inpatient cases.
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with organizational, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations.
