Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

Key responsibilities include inpatient coding across Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU, and other complex cases, plus accurate diagnosis and procedure coding, ensuring timely data entry

Qualifications

• CCS certification preferred; RHIT/RHIA credentials considered.
• Minimum of three years inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience in an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties.
• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations.

Skills

CCS certification preferred

RHIT or RHIA credentials considered
