Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

This role requires CCS/RHIT/RHIA credentials, 3+ years of inpatient coding experience, and proficiency with Epic EHR and the 3M encoder. Remote work is 100% with PST hours and start is ASAP.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience in academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical, Transplants, NICU.
• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with standards.
• Maintain timely coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Meet productivity and quality expectations.
