Job summary

Cognizant is hiring an experienced Infrastructure Network Architect for a remote role in the USA. You will lead design, deployment, and optimization of large-scale WAN and security solutions across global environments.

The role demands Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela), Palo Alto Prisma Access SSE/SASE, routing protocols (BGP/OSPF), VPN/IPsec, and a strong security architecture background. You will also provide technical leadership and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of enterprise network design, implementation, and architecture.
• Deep WAN architecture and design expertise.
• Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) experience including vManage, vSmart, vBond, vEdge.
• Strong experience with Palo Alto Prisma Access SSE/SASE.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and deployment of enterprise WAN solutions across distributed environments.
• Architect and implement Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela) components to improve performance and scalability.
• Design and deploy Prisma Access SSE/SASE for secure remote access and zero-trust connectivity.
• Produce HLDs/LLDs, implementation plans, and change management docs.
• Provide advanced routing and switching expertise (BGP, OSPF, ACLs, route-maps, traffic engineering).
• Ensure adherence to security standards (VPNs, IPsec, QoS, segmentation).
• Lead network lifecycle management including upgrades and vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain network standards and operations.
• Manage telecom providers and vendor relationships; SLA management and coordination.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
