Job summary

Republic Services is seeking an Infrastructure Administrator to support enterprise physical and virtual environments, including cloud and on‑prem platforms. The role deploys, automates, monitors, and supports networks, servers, and applications, serving as liaison with vendors and development teams to ensure smooth SDLC operations.

Responsibilities include maintaining high availability, handling 24x7 support, and advancing monitoring and change/incident processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience managing and supporting IT infrastructure in a mid-to-large scale enterprise data center environment.
• Knowledge of server/storage hardware and protocols (NFS, iSCSI).
• Demonstrated scripting and automation skills (Perl, Bash, PHP, Puppet, Chef, Salt, etc.).
• Understanding of cloud storage, network, and hardware technologies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and suggest performance improvements to ensure high availability of infrastructure.
• Serve as escalation point for technical issues at team level.
• Participate in implementing agreed-upon solutions and strategies.
• Work with Storage & Virtualization Engineers to configure and troubleshoot application servers and software.
