Job summary

General Motors seeks an experienced Software Test Engineer for Infotainment vehicle software management. You will execute automated and manual tests, configure test benches, and document defects with clear steps to reproduce.

Collaboration across Systems Engineering, Software Development, Validation, and suppliers is essential to drive defect resolution and weekly verification testing. The role involves leading test planning, coordinating a large multi-functional team, and ensuring test

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
5 years of experience in software test engineering or related senior roles in automotive settings.
Experience with automotive SW testing, test automation, and CAN/LAN vehicle communication tools.

Responsibilities

Execute manual and automated test scripts to verify Infotainment component function and performance.
Configure benches for specified test scenarios and document defects with steps to reproduce.
Lead weekly verification testing and coordinate tests for large multi-functional teams.
Interact with Systems Eng, Software Dev, Validation, and Suppliers to resolve defects and plan releases.
Provide status updates and maintain comprehensive test results and logs.
