Google Inc. is seeking an Incident Response Consultant to provide industry-leading incident response, assessment, transformation, managed detection and response, and training services.

You will help organizations detect threats and manage incidents at scale with investigation, containment, remediation and crisis management across cloud (GCP) and on‑prem environments. Part of Google Cloud, Mandiant is a recognized leader in cyber defense and threat intelligence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience conducting end-to-end incident response investigations and containment.
• 8 years of investigative experience with network forensics, malware triage analysis, cloud forensics, or disk and memory forensics.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.

Responsibilities

• Manage incident response engagements, compromise assessments, and threat-hunting operations.
• Execute digital forensics, host-based live response, network traffic analysis, and malware analysis across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Automate forensic tasks and build team utility tools using programming languages.
• Oversee the project lifecycle for multiple consulting engagements, including planning, budgeting, and quality control.
• Draft investigation reports and present technical findings clearly to client stakeholders and leadership.
