Job summary

Axway, a global software company, seeks an In-House Corporate Counsel on a contract basis with remote U.S. availability.

You will support the business by negotiating commercial agreements, advising on legal and compliance matters, and partnering with leadership on strategic initiatives. This role offers a 6-month contract with potential conversion to full-time, compensation at $50–$70 per hour, and the option to work remotely nationwide; an Scottsdale office is available for hybrid collaboration

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active state bar membership.
• Minimum 3 years of legal experience.
• Experience with software licensing and commercial contracting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, prepare and negotiate legal documents including software licenses, services agreements, vendor contracts, and nondisclosure agreements.
• Privacy and security experience with data protection agreements and similar agreements.
• Manage the legal activities of the company to protect the company's interests and advise managers on laws affecting their areas.
• Manage license compliance and audits of customers.
• Manage software licensing activities and software contract activities.
