Job summary

AlphaX seeks an experienced Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive bids for commercial and industrial IMP projects. You will review drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, and develop detailed bid proposals.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in construction estimating, with 3–5 years directly in Insulated Metal Panel estimating. Proficiency with estimating software and Excel is essential. Remote or relocation options may be considered.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of construction estimating experience, with 3–5 years of direct Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) estimating experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to independently prepare complete construction estimates, perform quantity takeoffs, and submit competitive bids.
• Experience with advanced manufacturing, mission-critical facilities, or industrial construction projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and competitive bids for commercial and industrial projects involving Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) systems.
• Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project scope and installation details.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and calculate labor, material, equipment, and installation costs.
• Develop bid proposals outlining pricing, scope inclusions, exclusions, and assumptions.
• Identify scope gaps and cost risks that could affect profitability.
• Coordinate with general contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve estimating questions.
• Maintain organized estimating records and bid documentation to meet deadlines.
• Review estimates for accuracy and alignment with drawings and specs.
