Job summary
AlphaGov seeks a highly experienced Senior Estimator to lead estimating and bid development for commercial and industrial Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) projects. The role requires managing complex estimates from review through proposal submission, supporting advanced manufacturing, mission-critical facilities, and industrial construction markets.
Knoxville or East Tennessee is preferred, with optional remote work or relocation for qualified applicants.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in direct construction estimating or related project management.
- Strong experience with Insulated Metal Panel (IMP) estimating.
- Ability to independently develop and own complex estimates and bids.
- Experience in advanced manufacturing, mission-critical facilities, or industrial construction preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead preparation of detailed cost estimates and bids for IMP projects.
- Review drawings, specs, and bid packages to evaluate scope and pricing.
- Takeoff quantities for labor, materials, and installation costs.
- Identify scope gaps and cost risks affecting pricing.
- Review supplier/subcontractor quotes and resolve discrepancies.
- Develop bid proposals with defined pricing, inclusions, and exclusions.
- Coordinate with GC, suppliers, and internal teams on bid questions.
- Maintain estimating records, cost databases, and bid docs.
- Review estimates for accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness.
