Job summary

Fredrikson & Byron, P.A. in Minneapolis seeks a Paralegal to support our Immigration Law Department with employment-based petitions (H-1B, L-1, TN, PERMs, I-140, I-485) and family-based cases, in a hybrid remote environment.

You will organize confidential client data, track deadlines, communicate with clients, assist attorneys with case management and research to ensure timely filings and strong client service.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Adobe, Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of immigration-related case management databases is a plus.
• 2+ years’ experience in immigration law or similar preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with attorneys to prepare employment-based nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions (H-1B, L-1, TN, PERMs, I-140, I-485).
• Prepare family-based petitions and naturalization applications.
• Communicate with clients to gather information and documentation.
• Organize and manage confidential client data and deadlines.
• Conduct legal research to support case preparation.
• Monitor and track case progress for timely filings and responses.
• Assist attorneys and team with case management and reporting needs.
