International Refugee Assistance Project, Inc. seeks two law students for remote summer interns/externs with the U.S. Litigation department, with an option to work from IRAP’s New York City office. Applications prioritized by November 1, 2026.

The internship is full-time for 10 weeks, starting June 7, 2027, and may offer an in-office option in NYC. Candidates must have U.S. work authorization. Responsibilities include intake interviews, legal research, memos, and litigation document preparation;

Qualifications

• Must be a rising 2L or 3L admitted to a U.S. JD program.
• Strong research and writing abilities.
• Excellent English communication; multilingual abilities a plus (Arabic/Dari/Farsi/Somali/Pashto/Kurdish/Spanish).

Responsabilités

• Conduct intake interviews and identify client needs for litigation.
• Conduct factual and legal research in support of litigation.
• Provide research memos to the team.
• Participate in litigation efforts, including preparing documents and cite-checking.
