We're looking for an admitted attorney within Puerto Rico for an exciting Remote Immigration Attorney position at a premier law firm with room for growth. As an Associate Attorney, you will report to the Managing Immigration Attorney, manage your caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with our Immigration Team of Attorneys and legal assistants.

Responsibilities

• Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.
• Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
• Manage your workload of cases.
• Visit detention centers and conduct intake with detained individuals.
• Prepare diverse immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions.
• Review immigration applications and make necessary adjustments.
• Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law updates.
• Meet with potential clients for consultations and determine strategies.
• Develop case strategies and prepare clients and witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
• Provide legal analysis to identify case benefits.
• Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Immigration Law.
• Team player willing to collaborate and strategize with colleagues.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to move cases forward and manage a caseload.
• Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian cases, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and USCIS applications.
• Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.
