Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking an experienced IIoT/Controls engineer for a 12-month contract. You will identify machine controllers (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mazak, Fanuc), select protocols, and plan integration for IIoT across a remote position with 30–40% travel.

The role requires strong ISA-95 understanding, AS-IS/TO-BE documentation, and robust technical writing. Responsibilities include configuring OPC UA/DA, Kepware data exchange, and integrating tools like Power BI for analytics.

Qualifications

• Experience with IIoT integration of machine controllers to IIoT platforms.
• Ability to document AS-IS processes and TO-BE for controls implementations.
• Strong technical documentation skills for system designs and integration plans.

Responsibilities

• Identify machine controllers and select protocols and OT hardware for IIoT integration.
• Manage IIoT projects from planning through implementation with milestones.
• Troubleshoot complex communication issues between machines, PLCs and IIoT systems.
